Prof. Ming Zeng

Tianjin University of Science and Technology, China


Professor Ming Zeng is the Vice Dean and a full professor at the College of Marine and Environmental Sciences, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, where he also supervises master’s students. His research focuses on low‑carbon wastewater treatment and resource recovery, as well as AI‑driven environmental applications. 

He has led and participated in multiple national and provincial‑level research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (entitled “Functional Analysis and Regulation Mechanism of Key Factors in the Iron–Nitrogen Coupling Pathway within the Confined Space of Anammoxosomes”), the Tianjin Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation and Promotion Project (“Development and Demonstration of a Unified Modular Integrated Treatment System for Rural Domestic Sewage”), and the Tianjin Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner Project (“Development of a Combined Process for Nitrogen and Phosphorus Removal in Purification Tank Systems for Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment”).

In terms of scholarly output, he has authored the monograph Application of Microbial Immobilization Technology in Wastewater Treatment. He has received several awards, including the First Prize of the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award (Public Welfare) in 2019, the Excellence Award of the China Industry‑University‑Research Collaboration Innovation Achievement Award in 2015, and a Best Poster Award at an International Water Association (IWA) conference. 

Currently, Dr. Zeng serves as Vice Director of the Sino‑European Joint Trenchless Rehabilitation Technology Center, Vice President of the Tianjin University of Science and Technology Western Returned Scholars Association, a Youth Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and a Guest Editor of Frontiers in Microbiology.

Prof. Xinyong Li

Dalian University of Technology, China

Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, Environment and Life Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, Prof. Li research focuses on green catalysis, nano-catalysis, energy catalysis, and chemical & biological sensing. He has undertaken or participated in multiple national-level projects, including the National Key R&D Program, National High-Tech R&D Program (863 Program), National Key Basic Research Program (973 Program), and National Natural Science Foundation of China (major, general, and international cooperation projects). His honors include the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award (2011), First Prize of Natural Science Award for Institutions of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education (2010), Supervisor of the Nomination Award for National Hundred Excellent Doctoral Dissertations (2013), and Supervisor of the Nomination Award for Liaoning Provincial Hundred Excellent Doctoral Dissertations (2012). He has been listed in Elsevier's China Highly Cited Researchers in Environmental Science for 10 consecutive years (2014-2023). He has published over 290 SCI-indexed papers, with more than 16,800 Google Scholar citations and a Google Scholar H-index of 74. He has filed over 55 patents, 22 of which have been authorized, and delivered over 40 reports at international academic conferences in the fields of energy, environment and catalysis.

Prof. Jiaqi Guo

Hebei University of Technology, China


Professor Jiaqi Guo is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Hebei University of Technology, a “Yuanguang Scholar” of Hebei Province, and a teaching master for curriculum ideology and politics. A native of Tianjin, his research focuses on environmental and energy catalysis technologies. He has achieved prolific academic results and serves as a member of the Chinese Chemical Society and the Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology. He is also a youth editorial board member for several core journals, including Rare Metals, Rare Metals (Chinese Edition), Journal of Engineering Science, Journal of Materials Engineering, and Energy Environmental Protection.

Professor Guo has recently led multiple national and provincial research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (22376051, 2024–2027) and its Youth Program (21701125, 2018–2020), the Central Government Guides Local Science and Technology Development Project (246Z3602G, 2024–2027), the Special Foundation and General Foundation of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, as well as youth projects from the Tianjin and Hebei Provincial Natural Science Foundations. He has published numerous high-level papers in internationally renowned academic journals, with representative works appearing in Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, Rare Metals, Fuel, Separation and Purification Technology, Nano Research, and Environmental Science & Technology.
